New to crocheting or want to learn? Join our instructor for a beginner’s class. Whether you want to learn simple crochet or Tunisian crochet, we have several free beginner’s patterns to get you started.
Whether you’re completely new to crochet or just looking to improve your skills, this class offers a comprehensive introduction to the craft. With expert instruction, a supportive environment, and hands-on practice, you’ll leave with the confidence to start your next crochet project.
Make it a recurring event with this bundle – classes are 90 minutes in length, and you can schedule across times and instructors to fit your project progress.

- Dates (please pick your preferred session and email [email protected] to reserve your seat): Tuesdays 10:30am-12pm/12pm-1:30pm; Fridays 10:30am-12pm/12pm-1:30pm; Saturdays 10:30am-12pm/12pm-1:30pm
- Yarn + Class Materials: Students should start with a medium weight (worsted) yarn and appropriately sized crochet hook. We recommend starting with a lighter colored more durable yarn like Encore or Cascade 220 Superwash if you would like to start with a sampler scarf, or a Universal Yarns Clean Cotton if you would like to start with a dishcloth. The Clover Soft Touch crochet hook size H/I/J is a recommended starting crochet hook. (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own hooks/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.)
