Description
Join the slow fashion, handmade, maker movement by learning the basics of knitting in this Beginner Knitting EXPRESS workshop with Michigan Fine Yarns! In this 2.5-hour workshop, we’ll teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, introduce you to knitting in the round, and help you plan your first project! Our goal is to have you leave with the confidence to tackle that first project, and if you need additional project support, you can always come back again for Quick Help or in a Bring Your Own Project class! These longer, one-time Beginner Knitting EXPRESS workshops are offered on the second Saturday of the month, but if they don’t fit your schedule we also have weekly recurring beginner knitting classes.

Cancellation Policy: For all workshops, please communicate with instructors at [email protected] ahead of the date if you’re unable to attend or call the store. Please note that class workshops are non-refundable.

- Yarn + Class Materials: A medium-weight yarn and size US 7-8 needles with 16″ circular needles are recommended. (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.)
