Sock Series: Two at a Time Toe Up Socks Workshop
In this 90-minute workshop, you will be introduced to two-at-a-time toe-up socks constructed using a magic loop (one and two needles).
Description
It’s time to learn the secrets behind magic loop! Level up your knitting experience with this technique and unmask the mystery behind using magic loop for small-circumference knitting – specifically for making two toe-up socks at a time! In this 90-minute workshop we will provide an introduction to knitting two-at-a-time toe-up socks. Getting projects started is the trickiest part of these socks: Our goal is to have you leave with the confidence to continue your project independently with confidence, and if you need additional project support, you can always come back again for Quick Help or in a Bring Your Own Project class.
Please note: Please reference our Class Policy or Help Center for more details on classes, or email [email protected].
Cancellation Policy: For all workshops, please communicate with instructors at [email protected] ahead of the date if you’re unable to attend or call the store. Please note that class workshops are non-refundable.
- Dates: Please select the date/time from the drop-down above. If you see a workshop of interest but have a scheduling conflict, we can work that topic into a BYOP as well – we have lots of flexibility in this class. Simply select BYOP in the drop down window and email [email protected] to schedule.
- Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
- Prerequisites: Knit, purl, knitting in the round
- Yarn + Class Materials: Please bring your toe-up sock pattern and suggested materials or working cuff-down sock pattern and materials (your sock can be in progress!). (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.) If you need help planning your project, please let us know! We like this pattern for beginner toe-up socks (and it gives you an option for an afterthought heel if you decide you want to skip that part for now). If you’re interested in making “two at a time toe-up” socks, we recommend trying one of Urth Yarns Uneek Sock Kits and a ChiaoGoo Red Lace circular needle of at least 40″.
